Leadership Denton offers a series of comprehensive training sessions designed to help make interested Denton area citizens better aware of opportunities for community service, as well as all levels of public office.

The Leadership Denton program evolved from what was originally the Denton Chamber's Education Committee, chaired by Dr. Derrell Bulls.   Ricky Grunden was appointed to head a sub-committee in 1984 which developed the original curriculum and organization structure, primarily based on existing models through other chambers in the Dallas area. There have been 441 graduates of Leadership Denton since the first class convened in 1986.
