Denton Economic Development Partnership Names New Director of Strategic Partnerships

DENTON, TX – The Denton Economic Development Partnership (EDP) is thrilled to announce that Dan Rosenfield has accepted the position of Director of Strategic Partnerships. Rosenfield comes from the City of Denton, where he served as Economic Development Analyst.

“With the rapid growth that Denton is currently experiencing, we knew it was important to identify an up-and-coming professional to grow with the ever-changing landscape of our community," said Erin Carter, President, Denton Chamber of Commerce. “Dan understands Denton inside and out from serving the EDP on the City side. His relationships built with the City and our team reinforces the solid bridge between our organizations. We are confident he will be able to hit the ground running as an incredible asset to our business community.”

Rosenfield has a background in community-building and creating unique partnerships. He began his career in the Air Force as a public affairs officer stationed in South Dakota. As the senior communications advisor, he built relationships with Native American tribes and executed a crisis communications strategy for an environmental incident. He then moved to Washington, D.C., where he served a business development team for a political consultancy. He pursued clients in the healthcare, retail and manufacturing sectors. For the past year and a half, Dan has worked for the City of Denton Economic Development Department, improving operational processes and overseeing inbound development interest in the City.

“Denton is evolving as a destination for tech, manufacturing and creative industries. I’m excited to engage with our community’s stakeholders to diversify our industry sectors and attract economic opportunities for our city,” Rosenfield said. “We have the team in place to catalyze our Economic Development Strategic Plan and propel Denton’s vision for growth.”

Rosenfield is from the Dallas area and has a B.A. from Texas A&M University. He is pursuing PMP and CEcD certifications. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Denton arts scene, teaching history at a local Sunday school and is a newly-minted marathoner.
